About
What is Studio Nada?
Studio Nada is a peaceful sanctuary, not a place of demands and challenges, but a place where self-care and joy is prioritized. The studio is staffed with knowledgeable and qualified teachers leading weekly group classes and courses in Finnish and English. The studio also hosts several guest teachers throughout the year, bringing the best wellness events to Hämeenlinna.
We hope that visiting the studio is easy with a full calendar of weekly classes and events available through the simple online booking system. Join our community, have fun, and feel good.
Our Space
Studio Nada is located in one of Finland’s national treasures - the Wetterhoff House. Miss Fredrika Wetterhoff, a women’s rights advocate, founded the Fredrika Wetterhoff Craft School in 1885 to empower women from disadvantaged backgrounds, giving them opportunities to learn a profession that would make them self-sufficient. Fredrika’s determination, dedication, and bravery inspires us in the work we do today.
The building is full of artisans, and we are honored to be here among them. Studio Nada is located on the third floor, and special attention has been paid to ensure the space provides a peaceful practice space.
Our Services
Yoga
Yoga originated in ancient India and has grown into a practice that can be found around the world. A yoga class provides a complete wellness experience that helps with nervous system regulation, strength, flexibility, mental clarity, and more. At Studio Nada, we offer different types of yoga classes, courses for beginners, and events for students who want to dive deeper into philosophy.
Pilates
Pilates developed in the early 20th century by German physical trainer Joseph Pilates. Pilates developed his method of exercises to strengthen the human mind and body, believing that mental and physical health were interrelated. At Studio Nada, we offer weekly Pilates classes and courses for beginners.
Sound Bath
At the heart of sound baths lies the interplay between art and science. Scientific research has demonstrated that certain frequencies and tones have the ability to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which governs the body’s relaxation response. This results in a reduction of stress hormones, notably cortisol, allowing the body and mind to achieve a state of profound relaxation and rejuvenation.
