How do I enter the studio?
1
We are located at Door C. When you arrive, ring the buzzer that says "Studio Nada" and come to the third floor. You can remove your shoes and coat, and check-in at the reception desk. Let them know you are new, and they will give you a tour of the space so you can settle in and feel right at home.
When is the best time to arrive?
2
The best time to arrive is 5–10 minutes before class begins so that you have time to settle in. You must arrive at the studio before the class starts – unfortunately we’re not able to let in latecomers as it disrupts the class.
What should I wear?
3
You should wear clothing that is comfortable to move in. It is required to remove your shoes before entering the practice space. You might want a sweater or socks to put on at the end of class during final relaxation.
What about my personal belongings?
4
Our practice spaces are meant to provide you with time for yourself away from other distractions. We kindly ask you to store all personal items in the lockers located at the lounge.
Mobile phones must be silenced and left in your locker.
Do you have showers or changing rooms?
5
We have showers, changing rooms, and a kitchen where you can help yourself to a cup of tea.
Do you use incense or anything else with strong smells?
6
Some teachers use incense before class or during the final relaxation pose. Aromas are a powerful tool for relaxation and meditation, but for some of us it can trigger headaches or nausea. If you have sensitivities to smells, please let us know and we will do our best to avoid any incense in the space that day.
The primary incense that is used in Studio Nada includes palo santo and nag champa.
Nag Champa, one of the most popular hand rolled incense from India, is a blend of champa flowers, sandalwood base, and halmaddi resin. In Ayurvedic traditions, the aroma is used to balance the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and promote mental clarity. In India, it is burned in temples and homes to clear away stale or negative energy and invite positive vibrations.
Palo Santo, which translates to "Holy Wood" in Spanish, is a sacred tree native to the coast of South America, particularly Ecuador and Peru. It belongs to the same botanical family (Burseraceae) as frankincense and myrrh, and is world-famous for its distinctively sweet, woody, and citrusy aroma used for spiritual cleansing and relaxation.
joining a class
How do I book a class?
1
We use a booking system called Zenamu. Start by creating an account by clicking here. Once you have an account and are logged in, you can purchase a drop-in, series cards or a membership, and book a class.
How do I know if the class is right for me?
2
We do our best to describe our classes exactly as they are. By clicking a class in the booking system, you’ll be able to read the class description.
We also have the class marked with a difficulty level of beginners, intermediate, and advanced. This is solely based on the level of physical exertion – we don’t claim to decide who is a beginner or advanced in mindfulness and meditation.
Beginners = movements are accessible to most, and the teacher is ready to offer you individualized modifications as needed
Intermediate = you have experience in the practice and are ready to challenge yourself with movements that require more strength, stability, and range of motion.
Advanced = you have 1–2 years of experience in a similar type of practice with a desire to develop skills in more advanced asanas
What is the age limit to attend a class?
3
The minimum age to attend adult classes is 16.
Those under 16 are welcome to attend with a parent. If your child wants to attend on their own, please contact us to discuss.
When can I join class?
4
You can join our classes whenever it suits you – even today! Our class schedule is set up on a drop-in basis, meaning you come when it suits your schedule. Some people come once per week, some visit more often. We recommend trying a few different classes to find what you love. We also recommend trying a class more than once, because every teacher has a unique teaching style and it takes time to become familiar with their cadence and teaching methods.
How does the waitlist work?
5
The waitlist lets you queue for a class that's fully booked. When a booking is cancelled, you are automatically moved into the class and notified via email.
Please note that cancellation fees also apply to the waitlist. If you are on the waitlist less than 8 hours before the class starts and get moved into the class, but are unable to attend, you’re responsible for the class payment. If you decide you don’t want to take the class you’re waitlisted on, be sure to cancel your booking at least 8 hours before the class.

cancellations
Why does the studio sometimes cancel classes?
1
We cancel classes for 2 reasons:
The teacher is unavailable due to illness and we’re unable to find a substitute.
There are only 1–2 people registered for a class.
When the studio must cancel a class, your payment is fully refunded. Classes are typically cancelled 8–9 hours before the start time.
What if I need to cancel a booking?
2
You can cancel your class booking in the Zenamu booking system. We do not accept class cancellations by email or social media because we may not see it in time.
Please remember to cancel at least 8 hours before the class starts to avoid the cancellation fee.
I had an emergency and couldn’t come to class. Why am I required to pay for the class?
3
First: we truly get it. Life happens.
Waking up with a sore throat, childcare falling through, wild work days, or accidentally booking the wrong class. We know unexpected situations are never planned, and we will never expect you to be immune to life’s chaotic moments.
It feels unfair when life throws you a curveball and you get hit with a fee on top of it. We get why that leaves a sour taste that might have you wanting to share your experience with the bush radio.
Here’s how the model actually works: when you book a class, you aren’t just paying for a service – you are reserving a block of time in our studio and for the teacher. Our studio doesn’t have walk-in foot traffic. Our business model is built on people booking classes.
Unlike salaried jobs, our independent teachers don’t have paid time off or base hourly pay. A cancellation fee doesn’t line our pockets, it simply covers the baseline time we set aside for your practice in our studio with that specific teacher.
Waiving it “just this once” isn’t sustainable. If we absorbed the loss every time life happened, our business couldn’t survive, or we would have to raise prices for everyone to cover those empty class spots.
Enforcing this boundary isn’t meant to be personal, punitive, or spiteful. It’s how we keep our doors open and keep delivering the classes you love.
Thank you for respecting our time, understanding our boundaries, and supporting a small business owners.
What is the class cancellation policy?
4
Classes must be cancelled through the Zenamu app at least 8 hours before the start of the class. Customers who cancel more than 8 hours in advance will not be charged for the class.
If you do not cancel at least 8 hours before the start of the class, you will be charged the full amount.
What is the event, workshop or course cancellation policy?
5
Signing up for an event, workshop or course is always binding and cannot be canceled. By signing up, the partitioner agrees to pay for the event.
In the case of an illness or other inability to participate, you can gift your spot to someone else.
In the case of a force majeure or insufficient amount of attendees, the event organizer has the right to cancel the event. In this case, the attendees will be noticed as soon as possible and any money paid for the event will be refunded. The event organizer is not responsible for possible charges or inconveniences due to the cancellation.
